About Bridge At Maincy
" Bridge At Maincy" by Paul Cezanne is a famous painting of the French artist who was deeply inspired by the nature and its beauty. This picture was thought to have been painted at Maincy near Corbeil, where Cezanne stayed in 1897. However, the actual bridge was discovered not long ago - still intact - at Maincy, a village near the town of Melon, where it is known from his correspondence that Cezanne stayed for a long period of time. The picture was obviously painted in the summer is quite consistent with the compact brush-strokes which still recall the Auvers period. About the Art Prints
