<p>" Dutch Interior 1" by Joan Miro is a famous painting by the artist depicting an interior of a household. In 1928 Miró painted a series of three paintings inspired by postcards of seventeenth-century Dutch genre scenes that he collected during a two-week trip to Holland. In this painting, he discarded the heightened naturalism and precision of these models in favour of dreamlike distortion.
