This painting was sold at $92,500 USD at Sotheby’s Latin American Art Auction held in New York City in 2012. Diego Rivera was the artist who most celebrated the different ethnic groups of Mexico. He is famous for his depictions of local markets, peasants at work, traditional dances and fiestas as well as his tender portraits of local children.
