Mujer Sentada (Woman Sitting) Large Framed Print
Framed With Mat •
23x36 inches
"Mujer Sentada (Woman Sitting)" is a dynamic medley of pictorial elements by the famous cubist painter Juan Gris where a highly stylized figure of a woman appears, which can be recognized by the geometric elements that make up her head and body. The decomposition of the planes is organized in such a way that they correspond to the stylization of the figure without losing its essential character. Some of the parts are drawn with white lines that stand out above all with the blue of the blouse, while the areas painted in black show variants of drawings in curves that contrast with the rectilinear designs that dominate the composition. here the coloration is not varied and intense but is limited to a range of grays, black, a yellow plane in the background, white and above all highlights the aforementioned blue. |
