"The Burial of the Count of Orgaz" is one of the most famous works of the popular medieval painter Doménikos Theotokópoulos, most widely known as El Greco. The artist painted a miracle in this painting during the burying of the Count of Orgaz, who died in 1323. According to this miracle, the city of Orgaz has settled the landscape by holding the two saints (St. Agustin and St. Etienne) ascended from the two sides, descending from the heavens at the funeral of the poor and the guardians of the weak . The grave site is in the church and just below the residence.
