Piet Mondrian Paintings

Piet Mondrian (7 March 1872 – 1 February 1944), was a Dutch painter. He was a
contributor to the De Stijl art movement and group.
Mondrian evolved a non-representational form which he termed neoplasticism.

This consisted of white ground, upon which he painted a grid of vertical and horizontal black lines and the three primary colors.

Mondrian chose to distill his representations of the world to their basic vertical and horizontal elements, which represented the two essential opposing forces: the positive and the negative, the dynamic and the static, the masculine and the feminine. The dynamic balance of his compositions reflect what he saw as the universal balance of these forces.

About The studios
“The Studios” by Piet Mondrian a Dutch painter that revolutionised the history of art through his cubistic works which are characterised through his use of red, yellow and blue in his paintings.     Mondrian decorative work consisting of wide black vertical and horizontal lines with various colors filled in between the lines. The lines form various rectangles and squares. Most of mondrian's work was of this type, though some early work was an extreme form of post-impressionism, with slightly identifiable objects, as opposed to his main work which was of this type decorative, since there is no representation of any reality.

Accolades From Our Customers

I would definitely recommend Tallenge Store, and especially the Van Gogh Collection! Thanks for a great experience.
I look at the painting often throughout the day, especially when I’m feeling stuck or overwhelmed, and instantly feel better, inspired and energized by the artist’s choice of colors and shapes.
The team answered my questions very patiently prior to purchase and accommodated all my requests. The painting itself was delivered on time to me in London and the quality of packaging was commendable.
